SUPER FIT ENGINEERING. Super Fit Engineering is a proprietary process that guides the fit, design and patterning of every Giro glove for maximum comfort and performance. By carefully tailoring the palm, fingers and padding zones to match the shape and size of the hand, SFE reduces bunching and discomfort while enhancing grip, bar feel and the effectiveness of the padding. And with as many as six sizes available per model, almost any rider can great pair of gloves to match their needs.
THREE-PIECE PALM CONSTRUCTION. Our unique 3-piece palm construction tailors the fit of our gloves to reduce bunching and allows your hand to move naturally for enhanced control that doesn’t compromise bar feel. By designing each part of the palm to mimic a hands features and articulation, Giro gloves increase grip and provide a superior level of protection for the entire hand.
My pair has stretched out in it's first 100 miles but I like the look and feel otherwise.I ordered a pair of white medium marked as 2022 stock after having two previous sets of these gloves in black over the past few years. They are definitely smaller, especially the thumb diameter and the size of the palm fabric. Size up if re-ordering, since being a tad too small causes rubbing.I've been using the Giro Zero gloves for many, many years. I do not like padded gloves. It's important to know that these gloves DO NOT HAVE PADDING.These are the best cycling gloves I've ever used. The previous generation Zero gloves (no "CS" in the name) used sheepskin on the palms. This was the most amazing feeling glove ever when new. However, the sheepskin would not wear well. Over time, it would become quite slippery when wet and did not exhibit good durability. Beautiful when new, ugly when not. They just didn't last too long, and if you washed them they would literally fall apart (especially if worn). The "CS" version eliminates the sheepskin for a man-made fabric. Whatever it is, it's awesome. I've been using this version for a long time and have hundreds of hours of cycling on them. Everything is just perfect for me. No padding means a solid grip and ability to feel the bike and road conditions. I honestly don't understand why people wear padded gloves. The palm material stays grippy under all conditions: hot, cold, wet or dry. They have amazing durability. And the fit is...well...like a glove. No bunching, not even when very hot and sweaty. No pinching. Just nice. The stretch fabric at the wrist is perfect. These are tight to slide onto the hand, but once on, they fit perfectly. They don't cut off circulation, and yet, they don't get loose either. In fact, I don't notice them at all and that's a good thing. One last thing. The reason I started using no-pad gloves (many years ago) was because my hands would experience tingling or numbness while riding. In hindsight, I believe this may have been due to the individual pads pressing into the palm/fingers and reducing circulation. Without padding, there's no localized areas being pressed harder than other areas on the hand. Without padding, pressure is evenly distributed across the palm/fingers. In any event, all tingling/numbness in my hands and fingers stopped the moment I started using gloves without padding. If you're still trying to figure out your gloves situation, give these a try. You won't like them at first because of the lack of padding. But once you get used to it, you may realize the padding does more harm than good.perfect for if you already have gel or well padded bartape. also a great race day option for optimal dexterity and controlI've ordered these from both Amazon and Giro directly. Both show the white colorway as having black palms and finger pulls however actual product has white palm and white finger pulls.I want to start by saying that the first pair that I bought over a year ago are still going strong. I love them; but I wanted another pair so I can rotate them and perhaps get a little more life out of them. So I bought a black pair this time, XXL since the XLs I got previously were a bit tight. Unfortunately, after just a month of using them in rotation with 2 other sets of gloves a seam started coming apart. For a $35 pair of gloves from a recognized cycling apparel manufacturer I expected much higher quality standards than this. Of course, I noticed this just two days after the return period had expired. I can only hope that the manufacturer, Giro, or the seller, Cycle World Miami, sees this and offers to replace my defective product.Edit 8/23/2020:I contacted Cycle World Miami, the vendor who sold me the gloves, through the Amazon site let them know of the defective product and to obtain a replacement. They promptly responded to my message and offered to replace the gloves under warranty, as they are an official Giro dealer. I sent them the defective gloves, and received replacement gloves less than two weeks later. Hopefully the new gloves reflect the quality I experienced with my previous pair. My only gripe is that I had to pay the $4 postage to return the gloves.I normally wear medium Giro gloves. These are no exception. As stated in other reviews, they are somewhat snug. I prefer the fit over my Giro Bravo gels. My bike fit is spot on and I prefer bare hands. This mit is minimally protective but good for sweat control, warm at 55°, grippy enough, and is very visible during hand signals on group rides. My only complaint is a tiny hole in the shell of one glove that does not penetrate the elastic material. It is most likely a manufacturing defect that should have been detected. My second choice was just over $40, and despite the questionable lifespan I'd consider buying again. I'll update my review after this cycling season.Update: I purchased an all black pair. They are flawless. I did flame the cut portions of the fingers and burn off hanging threads Army style with a lighter. Otherwise, they'll fray. The first pair has 300 miles on them. The pin hole is the same size.Update 2: I replaced them with only mild wear after a year of use. After being laundered 3 times a week, they begin to show wear and fraying. I keep coming back, and gave them back 1 star.Tip: I remove them by sticking a finger under the wrist pull tab and pushing them off.Despite other reviews stating this fits small and suggesting to size up, I ordered my standard cycling glove size that I use for both Giro and other brands. It was a bit tight to first put my hands through the opening of the gloves, but the opening is made of a stretchy material that stretches out well. After putting it on fully, the gloves "fit like a glove". Snug, but not too tight. Palm material is very minimalistic (i.e. no padding) to provide maximum bar-feel.While these are nice gloves, I dropped 1 star since I didn't feel these are good value for the money ($34.99 at the time of this comment). I feel minimalistic gloves like these should be priced lower. Not quite as pictured. The gloves are white llnover rather than having the black palms. There’s no cushioning in the palms. The fit is quite snug, and as there’s no wrist adjusters, they can be tricky to put on. I don’t think these gloves are worth the price. Ripped after trying to wear first time. Terrible product. Schnelle Lieferung alles super!
