In theory these are pretty nice chairs but did not 100% fulfill our expectations. They seem to be pretty sturdy and good quality. They could have used more padding in the covers. I ended up stuffing more filling in them myself. They are also not very wide chairs. We went from the wide ones to these so, that might have affected our opinion. They are pretty nice but we are already considering other chairs after 1 Summer. I do have to say, I really like the extra padding though.I bought this when I had a lower back injury and I could not find any position to relieve the pressure on my sciatic nerve. The -0° recline was a lifesaver. A couple of nights in this with my left leg propped on a body pillow and the inflamed disc finally slid back into place, and away from the nerve. The chair is bulky and fairly heavy, but it is well constructed and durable enough that I expect to have it for decades to come. My only beef is that the clip on tabletop seems to be a minimal effort afterthought, and I spill too much iced tea when I don't get it on there *just so*.It's also super comfy in my yard under the canopy of maple trees when I am not injured.It is rare to find a chair so wonderfully comfortable and sturdy designed for people of my stature. I am average in height (in the US and Europe) at 180 cm (just under 5 foot 8 inches) and I weigh 90 kg (just under 200 lbs). This chair fits me like a glove. If you are taller, be careful! I suspect if you are significantly taller or heavier that this chair will be too small for you.Best purchase I have made really comfortableSo I ordered this chair because I’m a large guy facing back problems. I’m 250lbs so I thought 440lb capacity would definitely be strong. Long story short, got chair->chair position selector breaks because they’re cheap pewter. The aluminum rivets also were pulling through the frame.Company initially offered me a $15 refund. I laughed. I made the case that is was poorly designed and after some back and forth and a threat to post a video review…they finally sent a replacement. Identical cheap pieces still. So I took the broken chair, removed the arms using just an allan wrench, ripped the broken parts off, flipped the tube over and reattached everything. Chair doesn’t lock well this way but is safe to sit in and not pulling apart. I’ll figure out better locks later. So 2 mostly functioning SAFE chairs for the price of a headache and lots of emails.Their customer service is slightly better than this particular product but I’m not wasting anymore $$ with this company.If you’re bigger than me…find a better built chair and better company to buy it from.Got it as gift for my lovely wife who likes to read on the deck when the weather permits. The chair came assembled and put to good use immediately. Good value and happy wife. Happy life??I bought this for my disabled husband and it took me weeks upon weeks to unfold it and open it. When I did, it had a broken hinge- clamp (at least that's the term I made up for what I saw;) and the chair did not recline to that "zero gravity" feature for which I bought it. I was so sure we were going to be stuck with it or that the exchange process was going to be quite painful. I. Was. SO. Wrong.After a single message, they immediately responded that they would gladly send another chair. Within a week I had a FedEx tracking number, and the chair arrived the following day. They never asked that I return first chair, which we will donate.Now, my honey is built like a brick (fill it in of you know it) and his weight proves it at 250lbs. This chair lifts him and leans him back with the ease of a new mother cradling her baby. Somehow it is still so light I can fold and carry it with ease. Back deck for some sun? Check. Inside/downstairs to the Family Room? Done-zo! Upstairs to bedroom when back pain makes it impossible to sleep in bed? That zero gravity thing takes all of the pressure off of his lower/mid back and he actually sleeps. For the Love of God, he SLEEPS!In the name of transparency, I will say that padded arm rests would make this perfect for our needs; but for those of you who will keep it always out back by the pool or on the deck, the arm rests as they come can get rained on all day/night long (along with the chair as long as you remembered to remove the seat cushion).I believe that companies that show love through their customer service AND sell quality items deserve more business.
